Model and DJ Megha Kawale added another feather to her cap as she became the first Indian female DJ to perform at the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos.

Megha was invited by the organisers of the WEF to perform for two parties in Davos as part of Wipro-CII Bollywood Music Night. She missed out on the event last year, but she jumped on the bandwagon when se was asked again this year. The Bollywood theme party has been a part of the WEF for the last five years and this is the first time that she got to spin for world leaders and other delegates.

Megha started her now 11-year old career spinning at the Superclub 1900’s at the Taj Mahal Palace and Tower Hotel as the resident DJ for five years. Before leaving for Davos, the 32-year old was unsure but still excited about the opportunity.

Though she’s more comfortable with progressive house and trance, she had to go Bollywood and remix popular songs with more international beats. Of course, Megha’s international experience made sure everyone at the party got a good taste of the Indian fun.
